(Web-Hosters.com & Web-Hosters.net), the makers of SalesCart, hereinafter referred collectively as ComCity  understand that you and your customers often trust us with private and valuable information.  We appreciate and thank you for placing trust in us and wish to make it known your responsibilites and ours with respect to the handling of this information.  This policy governs all of our websites, forums, processes, and all user and software interfaces we have made public as a part of the SalesCart product line.

By using our website or any of our products, services or software interfaces, you are agreeing to accept these practices and procedures described in this Privacy Policy in addition to other Terms of Service publically posted on our website.  The Master Terms of Service, Acceptable User Policies, Digital Content License Agreement, End User Software License Agreement, and Privacy Policy together constitute the entirety of your agreements with respect to the use of our website, products and services.  You agree that you have reviewed all of these agreements and licenses and accept them.  If you cannot locate these or are confused about any of these policies or your agreements with us, please contact us.

ComCity may link to, recommend, or promote third parties.  By doing so, ComCity makes no warranties or representations about their privacy policies or their handling of any information that you or your customers may provide them and specifically exclude such information from this policy. Changes to this Policy

ComCity may from time to time change or amend this policy.  If this policy is changed, your notice of such a change will be the public positing of these changes on our website at this url location.  These changes will be effective immediately or after thirty (30) days from their intial public notice or whichever is soonest by law or statute.  You agree that this notice is sufficient and agreeable to you and your continued use of our website, products, or services, and any use after such a change constitutes your acceptance of the new changes, additions or deletions to the policy.

At certain pages of our Sites, you may be able to order products or services, register products to obtain our technical support and participate in one of our online forums or communities. We sometimes engage unaffiliated businesses to assist us in providing you certain services. For example, we may hire a shipping company to help us deliver our products or services to you. Security Protection Policy

From time to time, as a customer of ComCity, we understand you may have confidential and business critical information stored on our Web servers including business logic, business plans, customer information, customer addresses and other business confidential information. ComCity will treat this information as secure and private and use it only as with regards to troubleshooting or resolving issues with regard to your account. We will not in any way intentionally divulge this information to any other person. We agree to keep this information confidential and private. We will also work with you to keep this information secure including using our firewall technologies, use double-blind passwords on your website content, or support encryption technologies that you may need to maintain the security of this information.

In any case where you believe security has some how been intentionally compromised, it is best to address us confidentially first before taking any other action so that we may work with you behind the scenes in cooperation with law enforcement to trap perpetrators before they realize they are being watched.

Cookies

Cookies are very small text files that are stored on your computer when you visit most websites.  Cookies cannot give you a virus or harm your computer.  Cookies also cannot extract information from your computer and any information stored in a cookie is information specifically given to us or obtained as a part of a visit to our website or software.  We use cookies to help identify your computer or your customers computer so we can tailor user experiences, track shopping basket contents and remember where you are in the order process.  You or your customers can disable any cookies already stored on your computer, but these may stop our website or software interfaces from functioning properly.  A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share or have already shared with us. 

We use cookies both in our websites as well as our software to uniquely identify and keep track of users.  We use these cookies to provide you information about us, or in general, products and services that you are using.   We also use these cookies in the general basic operation and functionality of the website and the software we provide to you including the specific services of an ecommerce shopping cart service where a cookie keeps track of a customer.  We may from time to time use these cookies to specifically identify traffic patterns in our websites or statistical analysis of how our website or software is being used for advertising or marketing purposes.

Password Protection Privacy Policy

You as a customer have a duty to keep your password private and not to divulge it willingly to others and doing so is grounds for service disconnection.  If you have lost or misplaced password information provided to you necessary to access your account, our employees and agents are not permitted to provide this information to you verbally based on a simple phone call. In addition, In many cases, this information may even be encrypted to the point that they cannot see this information. In most cases, you may change your password information by logging into your control panel.

Our support individuals can resend a "password recover email"; however, this email can only be emailed to the email address of last record you have specified and maintained within the control panel. If this is changed, we cannot simply email your password information to a new email address based solely on a verbal request by phone to do so. There is no way for us to authenticate a phone call from the supposed owner of a business. This policy is in effect to maintain the security and privacy of your password. If only a phone call were necessary to our technical support staff to modify or obtain your password information, your password would be of little value at all.

It is your duty to inform us of company address changes or customer ownership changes by either US fax or US mail.

Customer Testimonials and Forums

ComCity operates a customer forum and customers understand that any information published on its forums is not governed by this user policy with respect to privacy.  Users should not publically post information that it expects should be keep private.

ComCity may also publicize testimonials which may make some basic customer information public with respect to its products and services.  In such cases, ComCity will obtain the permission from our customers.  If a customer later changes their mind, they simply need to notify us and give us a reasonable time to update our website with respect to their testimonial.
