ComCity® today formally announced the release of its
SalesCart-X shopping cart software for Linux hosting
environments in a version designed for Macromedia
Dreamweaver and UltraDev developers and merchants.
Previously available only for users of Microsoft
FrontPage, SalesCart-X permits complete customization of
shopping carts on UNIX without using PERL. PHP scripting
and mySQL provide unlimited flexibility, enterprise-class
database powers, and a true open-source solution for use
on Linux Web servers.
SalesCart-X
is a “bolt-on” E-commerce shopping cart system enabling
developers to quickly create shopping carts capable of
managing hundreds or thousands of products or orders while
working within a familiar design tool environment. The
program comes with ready-to use templates, wizards, an
online help system that is integrated into the design
tool, and a browser-based order management system for
order fulfillment tracking by customers, sales and product
reporting, and other back-end operations.
The
software can be used to create both static and dynamic
catalog-based shopping carts that seamlessly integrate
with Web sites built with Dreamweaver, UltraDev or
Dreamweaver MX or with Microsoft FrontPage. This
eliminates the need for developers to build their own
carts from scratch or use stand-alone shopping cart
solutions that lack the customizability to fit with
existing site designs.
Shopping
carts built with SalesCart-X can include a comprehensive
feature set, including volume and whole-order discounts,
customizable product attributes, order retrieval for
repeat customers, alternative checkout paths, and the
ability to link to additional information or upsell
options during checkout.
SalesCart-X
for Macromedia developers comes bundled with AuthorizeNet
credit card bridge at no additional cost ($60 value).
Available for $399, SalesCart-X can be downloaded at
